For more than 35 years, the Great Endeavour Rally has taken adventurers beyond the highways and into the heart of Australia. In 2026 the Rally will take you from the Darling Downs through hidden tracks, private cattle stations, and outback towns steeped in history, all the way to Mount Dare Station, the gateway to the Simpson Desert.
Along the way you’ll roll into places like Tambo, Queensland’s oldest town, camp under the stars at Camden Park Station, soak up the legends of Winton, raise a glass at the remote Middleton Hotel, and cross into the Northern Territory to experience station life at Tobermorey and Hale River Homestead. Every day offers six hours or more of red dirt, creek crossings, and off-the-map routes that few ever get to see.
And you won’t do it alone. The Rally is backed by full mechanical support from the Australian Defence Force, Komatsu, and a dedicated tow truck from Transport Field Service travelling in convoy. With RallySafe satellite tracking in every vehicle, you'll have the confidence to focus on what matters most: the drive, the dust, the camaraderie.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What are the hard costs to me?
- Team Registration -
Your team registration fee is $750. This holds your teams position in the Rally. This year we can only take 75 teams on the event due to the remote locations we will be travelling too. -
The individual fee -
$1500 to $1750 per person. This will be confirmed early 2026 once we have firm participant numbers and locked in all catering. This is due 10 weeks prior to hitting the start line in Toowoomba.The individual fee allows us to provide you with the safest and most enjoyable Rally event possible, inclusive of all meals, camping fees.
In addition, each team will be provided with RallySafe - a purpose-built satellite positioning system that will keep you in constant contact with rally officials and enable your friends to track your trip from home. RallySafe is even used by both the Australian Rally Championship and World Rally Championship.
Outside of the direct cost for participation (Camping & 3 meals per day) you will need to cover your fuel and any other personal costs.
What sort of car can I take on the Rally?
The Great Endeavour Rally takes you on (and off) some of Australia’s greatest roads and is a great test for both car and team. The Rally is achievable for most vehicles provided you have a good set of tyres (all terrain tyre preferred) and reasonable ground clearance.
How much do I need to fundraise?
The minimum fundraising for the event is $5,000 as a team, don't worry thought we find the average fundraising per team is normally twice that amount.
