I’m doing the Great Endeavour Rally – and I need your support!
In September of 2026, I will be taking part in an epic driving rally from Toowoomba to the heart of Australia (Mount Dare), all to raise funds for the Endeavour Foundation.
My 4 brothers and I (Team Covey Longhorns) will be covering approx. 3,500km (2,200 miles) in a 1959 Ford V8 Ranch Wagon that started it's life as an undertaker's hearse which if my memory serves me correct came from Morven, likely supplied new, by Heyer's Ford Dealership in Morven at the time, but now has been in our family near 65 years. Â
Not sure if it will make the distance but we will give it our best shot. So on the first couple of days it looks like the route will take us through Morven so our old FORD V8 Ranch Wagon will be returning to it's old digs. (pardon the pun!)
As you may know the Endeavour Rally raises funds for disability support - a cause deeply personal to me. Disability has touched my life especially with my son Clarke who has Muscular Dystrophy and I have experienced firsthand how good care, support and understanding with the right resources can change peoples lives.
Every dollar my team raises, and every KM we drive, will help create greater opportunities for people with disability. Every contribution, big or small, truly makes a difference.
Our rally will be more than a great adventure. It will also help fund services and technology so people with disability can live their best lives. And it will help power social and employment programs and create more inclusiveness for people with disability in our community.
