The Route

Bundaberg > Julia Creek > Karumba > Undara > Townsville > 26 July - 3 August

Each day you’ll get off the beaten track and travel through private property and take in picturesque Australian scenery few others will ever get the chance to see. You and your crew can relax in the notion that the Great Endeavour Rally is fully supported. Enjoy breathtaking scenery by day, relax and share a yarn by the fire at night.

Starting from the Bundaberg Rum Distillery you’ll travel on roads very few have driven, across Central Queensland through savanna grasslands towards Julia Creek known as the “Gateway to the Gulf”. You’ll follow in the steps of intrepid explorers and visit Burke & Wills Roadhouse at Four Ways before setting off toward the coast and ending your day watching the sunset over the gulf from the Karumba Sunset Tavern.

Create lifelong memories as we turn and head back toward the South Coast as we visit some of Queensland’s best kept secrets. Take a dip in the Gorge only meters from the Einasleigh Hotel, call past the Undara Volcanic National Park for a visit. Tackle the Great Dividing Range before the Coral Sea fills your view as we settle in on the coast for our final night on the road.

Roll up your swag or pack down your tent for the last time as we head to Townsville the final leg of your 8 day adventure. Relax with new found friends at the final dinner, share the tales of your adventure over a few beers for the last time as a group, well at least until next year.
