cairns to the cape

(and back again)

31 August – 10 September 2023

Each day off the beaten track will see you travelling through expansive private properties, and taking in picturesque Australian scenery few others will ever get to see. In other words, this is a solid opportunity to enjoy breathtaking scenery by day, and relax with an epic yarn by the fire at night.

Starting from Cairns, you’ll be part of a rolling community of larrikins, travelling through National Parks, exploring some of Australia's most photographed sites like Fruit Bat Falls. Along the way, you will be heading down roads few have ever travelled and seeing hidden secrets thanks to access to private property.

Throughout this adventure, you’ll travel through picturesque Australian scenery and visit remote destinations that few others get to see - giving you and your crew every chance to discover the best this country has to offer by day before relaxing with friends new and old each night.

As the adventure winds down, it'll be time to roll up your swag (or pack down your tent) as we head back to Cairns for the final leg. Here you can relax with your new-found friends at the final dinner, for the last time as a group sharing the tales of your adventure over a few bevvies. Well, at least until next year.

Best of all, this outstanding adventure does its bit for multiple causes. Beyond driving for disability, the small communities we pull up stumps in each day also receive a welcome cash injection thanks to you and the overall rally crew.

Meet Jimmy & Avril
(Highland Flyer)

Back in my first rally, in 2017, the army mechanical crew were my best mates out on the road. Every other night they were helping me keep my car rolling, with fixes of all sorts and sizes. It's support like this that keeps us coming back.

Meet Pete
(The Dirty Doctors)

15 years in, I have to say that the people in the rally family are the best of the best. They're crazy, but they really are family - laughing with you, supporting you, and all round keeping things great across each day.

Meet Jamie and Ainsley
(DDSR)

We're not experts in fundraising, in fact before going on the rally, it's not something we'd ever tried. But with help from Nathan & others in the rally family, we were able to smash our fundraising goal out of the park with only one or two events, raising a massive $13,000 between the two of us!

Scott [Sooty] Law
(Salubrious)

Why would you not? If you get the opportunity to do it, you’d have to be absolutely crazy not to have a go. I've done it year after year, going bigger every time, without regret.

Meet Amanda (Kenny's Angels)

Hitting the road as part of the rally, with two of my gals was an eye-opener. We encountered hidden corners of Australia, sensational scenery, wild driving, and unique characters. It was the experience of a lifetime, and we're excited to do it again, and again.
